Wolf Spirit Camp Fire

Wolves, calling – echoing.

The scent of burning pine drifting in the evening air.

Turning, I catch a glimpse of a camp fire in the distance, and, picking up my pace in the cool breeze,

Head towards it.

Cautious now, I approach the wide clearing.

Standing back, hesitant, watching.

All is quiet, peaceful, waiting

And I approach the welcoming blaze.

Wearily sinking onto the damp, coarse grass

Giving thanks for the warmth and light.

Faint at first, I hear sounds.

Then louder. I see the others approach.

Confident in step and bearing

To join me in the comfort of the glow.

Slowly, they come, bringing fuel for the fire

Each timber added widening the circle of light.

Drums begin beating

A steady rhythym rising higher with the flames

And stop.

One sings a song, there is quiet.

One tells a story....discussions all around the circle,

Then quiet once more.

Looking up I see the stars in the heavens,

The cool breeze caresses my face.

I look back down. Across the flickering flames

And see the light of my companions.

Peace.

I as many knw now...knw I am Clan Mother now ... something that i will honor, with all i am.

I would like to share something, that keeps us tru to who we r, the clan mother - Clan Mothers...If one thing we remember, if only one thing, let it be this:

'your heart is your first teacher'

this will aid you in being tru to who u r...which will help u to stand strong - while you walk the stepping stone path, a path so beautiful, so unique, and yet is so old, no clock can tell us how old.

As my beautiful sister Turtle says, it is time for us to come together, a time for the Clan Mothers to gather...and this is a place that is just right for such a time, in these changing timez that we r in.

Love to all - all our relations

Thanks to Nature - Mother Earth - Grandfather Sky - The Great Mystery - The Great Spirit

it is time that we remembered to as permission...to give thanks, be greatful...
